Dear Friend,

In 1997 I ran the New York Marathon.  It was an unforgettable experience and I raised enough money to purchase a new van for Miami Bridge.

Once again I have an idea to raise money for Miami Bridge.  I am planning to “extreme tandem” skydive from 13,500 feet on August 21st in Homestead.  Please consider supporting my latest adventure.  The Bridge is in need of new furniture for the day room and bunk beds for the dormitories in the Miami and Homestead shelters.

As you know, the youth are removed from their homes.  Some “locked out” of their homes by families who have become abusive or are unable to care for their teenagers.  Some young people have been in foster care their entire lives and reach Miami Bridge as a safety net.  Some learn to cope with their anger and emotional turmoil while staying at Miami Bridge.  The Bridge provides 24 hour emergency shelter and care for these boys and girls and offers a new start.
