Our Key Staff
Miami Bridge's qualified and dedicated key staff members have extensive experience in providing services to at-risk youth and families. Most have been involved with the Miami Bridge for more than a decade. Meet our key staff members:
Stephanie Solovei, M.A., M.S.W., has served as Executive Director of Miami Bridge since 1997. For the past 18 years, she has acted in an executive management capacity. Ms. Solovei served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Network for Youth and Family Services for the past ten years. She is a founding member of the Miami-Dade County Human Services Coalition. Under Ms. Solovei's leadership Miami Bridge achieved prestigious COA accreditation in 2005.
Joan Shaw Davis, M.S., M.S. serves as Assistant Executive Director of Miami Bridge. Ms. Davis has devoted 20 years working with troubled youth, joining Miami Bridge in 1992. Ms. Davis serves on the Program Development/Quality Improvement Committee of the Florida Network of Youth and Family Service. She is a member of the M-DCPS gang task force. Ms. Davis is responsible for the establishment and development of the agency's Centralized Intake Program, and First Stop For Families (FSFF).
Herman Rivas, B.S., CPA serves as Director of Finance. After serving a decade in corporate sector finance management and accounting positions, Mr. Rivas joinedMiami Bridge in 1993. During a period of major expansion, he launched into the task of designing and implementing a system of internal and external financial reporting controls. Under his guidance, the agency has successfully completed more than 50 government and independent financial audits.
Ms. Barbara Walton, M.S.W., serves as Program Director of First Stop for Families, the Bridge's non-residential family crisis intervention program. Ms. Walton joined Miami Bridge in 1994 and has served for the past nine years. She is responsible for the oversight and management of all non-residential program operations.
Ana Gispert, B.S. has served as Homestead Emergency Youth Shelter Residential Operations Coordinator since 1999. Additionally, she is responsible for ensuring contract compliance, staff supervision, and facility management. Prior to joining Miami Bridge, Ms. Gispert worked for a decade as a Program Director of several residential corrections facilities. Ms. Gispert has also served as Assistant Director of Homeless Programs for the City of Miami.
Charles Armand, B.S. joined the organization in 2006. Mr. Armand has worked in the field of residential youth treatment for over a decade. He serves as Miami Emergency Youth Shelter Residential Operations Coordinator and is responsible for ensuring the implementation of all aspects of daily program operations, staff supervision, facility management, and contract compliance.
